I grew up in West Michigan and began riding at the age of 13. By 17, I had my own horse, whom I trained while working at the stable where she was boarded. I have worked at three different barns and have loved all the experience I have gained! I earned my Bachelor of Science degree and Equine Massage Certification from Lake Erie College, majoring in Equine Therapeutic Horsemanship and Equine Facility Management. Additionally, I am a Certified Equine Assisted Facilitator through the Equine Assisted Learning Academy.
While in college during the summer of 2022, I interned at Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center in Augusta, Michigan; further fueling my commitment to this field. The following summer, I landed an internship here at Hestóvin Stables, and fell in love with it!
I am thrilled to be living my dream by merging horsemanship with its therapeutic benefits for people, witnessing firsthand the positive impact on both horses and clients. I love extending Hestóvin’s reach into the community through our monthly events, allowing more people to discover our horse oasis, our five Icelandic horses, and the ways horses enhance our well-being.
In my free time I love to travel, read, play the piano to unwind, go on walks with my dogs Finnley and Louie, and spend time with family and friends!
I’m so happy to be part of the Hestóvin team and enjoy implementing innovative and creative ideas that enhance our clients’ experiences and support the barn’s success!
