It’s That Time of Year! Let’s celebrate the Icelandic way! The Icelandic children are visited by 13 Yule Lads (Jólasveinar), each coming in the 13 nights leading up to Christmas (Jólin), December 25. Join us as we learn about these fun mischievous lads.

Christmas is the time for giving. As Hestóvin Stables celebrates its second year, let’s gather to celebrate and give! Join us in celebrating the holiday season with hot cocoa and Christmas goodies and by giving to the Renew Therapeutic Riding Center and the Last Stop Horse Rescue and Sanctuary. Please consider donating of items in need or cash gifts to these wonderful organizations.

Love is in the air! Come to the stables to celebrate Valentine’s Day with us! We will have treats and a special art activity. Bring handmade valentines for the horses who you love and who love you back!

Everyone enjoys being read to including our horses - Glóa, Gunnar, Jórda, Tatari, and Saer. Bring one of your favorite books or choose one from our library, pull up a stool, and share the love of reading with an Icelandic horse friend.

Start off the spring season with our fun, healthy Glow-in-the-Dark Spring Hike! You are invited to hike, walk, or run our approximately 1-mile trail on the beautiful Hestóvin Stables property. Begin your spring with a spark!

Let’s celebrate moms, grandmas, and other special women in your life by enjoying an afternoon tea party. Beverages, cookies, and an art activity will add to the fun of being around your special ladies.
