I grew up on a farm in West Michigan along the lakeshore and have been around horses for as long as I can remember! At 7 I received my very own pony and have been hooked ever since, and worked for a riding stable through high school and college as a wrangler and trainer. My older brother is severely disabled and is the reason I became a therapist. I completed my bachelors in Recreational Therapy at Calvin University and my masters in Recreational Therapy at Indiana University. At the same time, I completed my CTRI through PATH and recently ESMHL.

I’ve worked as a therapist in rehab, assisted living, adapted sports, psychiatric services, and more! In 2014 I founded and was the Executive Director & Lead Therapist at an equine assisted therapy program that served over 150 individuals annually. It is currently on hold, and I’m so happy to be part of the Hestóvin team!

In my free time, I hike with my Vizsla Viela, read, spend as much time at Lake Michigan as possible, and enjoy time with family and friends.
