I grew up in West Michigan, where I was taught the importance of compassion—an early lesson that shaped my path in education. For the past five years, I’ve worked as a kindergarten teacher, committed to creating safe, nurturing spaces where children can thrive. Throughout this time, I’ve witnessed the powerful impact that empathetic, trauma-informed adults can have on a child’s life. This understanding led me to pursue a Master of Education in Trauma and Resiliency, equipping me with the tools to connect meaningfully with individuals from all walks of life.

While helping students grow and succeed in the classroom, I realized something was missing in my own life—I was longing for deeper connection and community. That’s when I discovered a volunteer opportunity at Hestóvin Stables. I quickly fell in love with the mission, the people, and, of course, the horses. What began as a volunteer role has become an important part of my life, and I’m proud to be part of the team, working to create positive, healing experiences for all that come here.

In my free time, I find joy and peace in the outdoors. Whether I’m fishing, hiking, camping, or simply spending time with my Chocolate Lab, Cricket, nature helps me stay grounded and connected to what matters most.
